With the latest SaaS release of the ePublishing Platform, online publishers can now automate feeds to multiple Twitter accounts for multiple content types – articles, blog posts, products, events.
Release 6.4. is provided as part of ePublishing’s Software as a Service approach, delivering value by responding to client requests and industry best practices to increase revenue and readership for ePublishing clients.
Highlights
In addition to automated Tweeting, ePublishing 6.4 includes several more features designed to enhance editorial efficiency and create new revenue opportunities:
Tweeting Site Content with One Click
Editorial and marketing staff can Tweet to multiple Twitter accounts directly from their ePublishing content management tools, with one simple click. When creating or updating an article, blog post, event or product, editors can opt to tweet it by checking a box. The title of the article and a shortened URL is created along with a character count so editors can add to or modify the tweet before sending it Twitter.
Individual Blog Tweeting
Similarly, individual blogs using separate Twitter accounts can automate tweets with one click. Bloggers also have the option to tweet about their posts to the larger site Twitter account with one click.
Related Content: Articles and Blog Posts
ePublishing clients already have the option of automating content associations using the Taxonomy tool, or manually controlling these related content associations. Now, ePublishing 6.4 makes it easier to create multiple associations with a built in search tool. Editors can search for content by topic or keyword within the content management system, and simply check the box next to each result to associate it with an article or blog post.
Control Related Content for Events
The ePublishing Events tool is newly enhanced: Editorial and Marketing staff can now directly relate blog posts, articles, and products to events, as they do for the other major content types.
Product Management Upgrades
Marketing staff now have more control over product listings and associations with other site content:
With these enhancements, ePublishing 6.4 increases internal efficiencies, while providing editors and marketers with more control and flexibility to create new revenue opportunities. ePublishing's SaaS approach delivers real value: stay tuned for examples of 6.4 in action and new releases in coming months!
