With the recent relaunch of FlowControlNetwork.com, Grand View Media Group hit its stride in launching their portfolio of BtoB publications towards meeting goals for greater efficiency, increased Average Revenue per Reader (ARPR) and more comprehensive Audience Management.
Grand View Media Group (GVMG) specializes in consumer and business-to-business magazines, as well as custom publishing. A subsidiary of EBSCO Industries based in Birmingham, Alabama, the unit currently publishes nineteen titles and three directories covering the outdoors and business-to-business markets. Their diverse portfolio includes widely read publications like Cabela’s Outfitter Journal and Whitetail Journal.
GVMG chose to partner with ePublishing in order to gain new editorial, data and eCommerce systems to jump-start its BtoB publications. Flow Control is one of the ten sites relaunched from their portfolio in eight months, supported by the ePublishing SaaS Enterprise Publishing Platform—and it embodies many of the dynamic features utilized by GVMG for their digital repertoire.
Flow Control is the only magazine dedicated exclusively to technologies and applications for fluid movement, measurement and containment. Twelve times a year, Flow Control magazine delivers award-winning original content to more than 36,000 qualified subscribers. Now, those subscribers can access a wealth of additional content online, daily, if they so choose (or have specific content delivered to their inbox).
With a bold, visual design, clear topic headings, calls to action and featured information, it is easy for readers to access what they are looking for and discover more of what they need—while finding their way into a community of peers that they couldn’t interact with before. The new website promotes interaction and community sharing through open reviews, comments and video and image galleries.
Engagement starts with straightforward toolbars—where it is easy for readers to subscribe, advertise or connect and also access a variety of content including newsletters, blogs, white papers, videos and directories. The Pump Guy Seminar puts a face to the opportunity and gives the feeling of personal connection that sparks interest and facilitates interaction.
FlowTube allows visitors to view instructional videos and comment or share via email or their favorite social networking site. The FlowStream Blog, searchable via category or date, engages registered users and invites them to comment and share their own expertise.
Flow Control also builds on GVMG’s rich tradition of advertising and lead generation by providing an extensive Vendor Directory that allows advertisers to manage their own listings and readers to peruse in several different ways including product, topic and alphabetical listings. Meanwhile, crisp ads appear on nearly every page and advertisers have the option of sponsoring an entire page that provides useful information to readers.
This is a great example of how publishers can take ePublishing’s Media Manager Tool to another level and generate revenue, beyond the basic use of image and video.
The new FlowControlNetwork is just one example of how GVMG is not only increasing their revenue flow, but also helping their readers stay in the groove.
